Administrative Hearing for Kevin Mixon illustrates the perils which auctioneers can sometimes encounter
when conducting estate auctions involving family members with animosity toward one another.
Over the strong objection of Board Member Darlene Jacobs-Levy, who sought to reprimand Mr. Mixon and assess him
with a $500 fine, the LALB voted to merely issue a "6-month warning" to disclose at future auctions
whether or not he intends to accept absentee bids.
