May 13, 2013:

Note:

In typical LALB fashion, the preceding was filed Ex Parte (meaning excluding notifying the other party of the filing and basically relaying, "This should just be between us, Judge.")

 

 

May 15, 2013: 

Burns, having uncovered the filing by random search of his own name on 5/14/13 (since LALB had taken vote to seek such an action on March 26, 2013), files Memorandum in Opposition to Petition for Attachment even though it was the LALB's goal to deny Burns knowledge that the petition had even been filed.

 

May 20, 2013: 

 

In response to Bankston's inappropriate Ex Parte filing, Burns files this Motion for Sanctions Against Attorney Larry S. Bankston.

 

June 4, 2013: 

Judge Hernandez signs orders calling for hearings for the issuance of a writ of attachment as well as for Burns to argue for sanctions against Larry S. Bankston.  The hearing is set for Monday, July 22, 2013 @ 9:30 a.m.

 

June 13, 2013: 

Jenna Linn files Memorandum in Opposition to Burns' Motion for Sanctions Against Larry S. Bankston

 

July 9, 2013: 

Burns files Memorandum in Opposition to Writ of Attachment

 

 

July 22, 2013: 

Oral arguments posed before Judge Hernandez, who indicated he was taking the matters under advisement and would issue his ruling at a later date.

 

August 28, 2013: 

 

Judge Hernandez issues this ruling DENYING the LALB's Writ.

 

 

END RESULT

LALB flushes YET ANOTHER approximate $2,100 on more legal fees in its ongoing relentless and fruitless pursuit of LAPA Vice President Robert Burns.
